"Top of the Mark"

Revell-Monogram's 1/48 scale B-29 Superfortress is available online from Squadron 

This is my Monogram 1/48 B-29A Superfortress built from one of the original release kit which included "Thumper", "Enola Gay" & "Bockscar" decals.

I chose to represent a Korean War aircraft named "Top of the Mark",using Aeromaster decals, with a black underside camouflage. I think that these are the best looking B-29s of all.

I rescribed the entire model and detailed the cockpit. But,even with all those windows, you still don't see much unless you have a flashlight and your nose stuck on the glass!

I used the Curtiss propellers with KMC Hamilton Standard (thanks to Terry Jones - I still owe him a six pack).

I also used True Details resin wheels.

Modelmaster Metalizer was used for the paint job.

This model was built 7 years ago and took me 5 weeks to complete, in time for the Québec City contest where it won gold and Best Bomber Awards.

I plan to build another one in the future as I traded it to my friend Jean-Marc.
