Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6

Hasegawa's 1/48 scale Bf 109G-6 is available online from Squadron.com

Introduction

Here is my Messerchmitt Bf 109-G6 from Hasegawa in 1/48 scale.

I added a Aires Cockpit and True Details Wheels, other little details are in scratch.

This kit is very easy to build.

Switzerland used 114 Messerchmitt Bf 109s from 1939 until 1948:

  • 10 Messerchmitt 109D (J-301-J310)

  • 100 Messerchmitt 109 E3 (J-311-J399)

  • 12 Messerchmitt 109G6 (J-701-J712)

  • 1 Messerchmitt 109G6 internee (J-713)

  • 1 Messerchmitt 109G14 internee (J-714)

At the end of WW2, the fuselage's red and white bands ware removed, and the fuselage was repainted with non-standard paint scheme.

Painting and Markings

The aircraft was painted RLM74, RLM75, RLM76 with Gunze Sanyo acrylics paints, with the letters codes and the crosses coming from the Cutting Edge decal sheet.ref. CED48040.

The weathering is oil wash with withe spirit, metallic pencil, and pastels for the exhaust's dirty Marks.
