Introduction

 

Here is my 1/48 ProModeler Messerschmitt Bf-110G-4 finished in Hungarian markings.

 



It represents an aircraft of 5/101 Night Fighter Squadron, while based at Weiner-Neustadt, Austria in March of 1945.

 

 

Construction

 

The model was built per the instructions aside from the minor enhancements listed below:

Fuselage

  • Waldron rudder pedals installed

  • MG 81Z replaced with Aries resin gun

  • Eduard photo-etched seatbelts added

  • all gun barrels and shell ejection ports drilled out

  • FuG25a IFF antenna made from piano wire

  • FuB12F blind landing antenna made from piano wire

  • antenna wires made from stretched sprue

 


Wings and Landing Gear

  • landing gear modified to sit at proper angle

  • exhaust pipes drilled out

  • pitot tube replaced with hypodermic needle

  • FuG16ZY Morane antenna made from surgical wire

  • FuG101 altimeter antenna replaced with wire

 

 

Painting and Markings


The airframe was painted with Xtracolor X208 Lichtblau RLM 76 and X207 Grauviolet RLM 75.

I weathered the model with chalk pastels.

 

 

Markings are from Cutting Edge 48046
