Here is Classic Airframes' 1/48 scale Grumman J2F-5 Duck, Kit Number 445R

This is a re-release of the original kit released several years ago. There are no new parts or decals.

The overall fit of this kit is good and I would suggest attaching parts F-6 & 7 (forward fuselage halves to Parts A 1 & 2 (rear halves) before gluing the fuselage halves together.

This will allow you to get a better fit in this area. I would also suggest test fitting the upper wing to the struts before painting. I had to relocate both the cabane and the wing struts to get the wings to line up. Take care when attaching the landing gear and I did as the instructions suggest and replaced parts A 15-18 with plastic rod.

If you attach the canopy as one piece, the windscreen will not fit very well and will require some filling.

As with all limited run kits, you'll need to test fit and test fit some more but in the end you can have a nice 1/48th scale model of the Grumman Duck.
