Special Hobby's 1/48 scale Nardi FN.305 is available online from Squadron

Here are some photos of my Special Hobby 1/48 scale Nardi FN 305 which won Silver in the Paris Model show last April.

Special Hobby is doing a tremendous job giving life to some subjects that we otherwise might have only dreamt of.

This is a good kit which requires only minor adjustments, easily achieved with the Alid'Italia book on the subject.

The exhausts were replaced by some copper tubes, the long greenhouse was opened and some wires fixed on the instructor instrument panel.

Now concerning the paint scheme, I was inspired by the beautifully restored plane in Vigna di Valle, Roma, and by the pics found on Stormo, a site dedicated to the Reggia Aeronautica, where Guilio Gobbi has posted a series of tremendous photos.

Now for the paints - the Giallo Mimetico 3 is from Mr Kit, the Verde Mimetico is from Mr Color and is Nakajima Navy green, ha ha ha!!, and the Bruno Mimetico is from Mr Color range, Red Brown! Any comments folks?

The Grigio Mimetico is Gunze neutral grey + 25% of white.

This model is a real gem and I can only encourage Special Hobby to keep on rolling in the same direction!
