Hasegawa's 1/48 scale Typhoon Mk.Ib is available online from Squadron

Chris Wauchop has built Hasegawa's 1/48 scale Typhoon Mk.IB, kit number 09311, in the markings of 198 Squadron RAF.

Chris made the following additions and modifications to his latest model:

• added seat belts from lead foil

• whip antenna from nylon thread

• rocket electrical connector wires from fine wire, dipped in a drop of super glue on the end to simulate the plug.

• hollowed out cannon barrels

• ID Light behind the headrest removed (according to Chris's written and photographic references this light was not fitted to the production aircraft).

The model was painted exclusively using the Testor Aztek airbrush fitted with the fine tan tip.

The upper surface colours were Gunze Sangyo Aqueous Hobby Color H-330 Dark Green and H-75 Dark Sea Grey.

Lower surfaces were painted a mix of 70% H-307 Grey and 30% H-11 Flat White.
