Construction

Here is Steve Palffy's 1/35 scale Tamiya T-34/76 kit backdated to a late Model 1941 using the Kirin resin turret with appliqué armour. The model depicts a vehicle used in the defence of Lenningrad

Additional items used in this project included:

  • Model Kasten tracks

  • Maquette engine and transmission

  • Jordi Rubio turned metal 76.2mm gun barrel

  • MV Lenses

The louvre and mesh on the rear deck of the tank are scratchbuilt.

The Figure and Accessories

The Russian female soldier is a 1/35 scale resin figure from a company called Junior Town Model.

The tent and bedrolls are made from tissue with belts from tape.

The prominent flag is painted paper. The slogan is a decal applied to the paper.
