Zvezda's 1/35
scale T-72B is available online from Squadron.com
It has been a while in the building, but finally it is complete.
Zvezda's 1/35 scale T-72 tank is a nice kit to build out of the box
although the instructions were a little vague in places - especially about
the placement of detail parts.
I basically built the kit per instructions but I left the upper
and lower halves separate until the whole model was painted.
I used Tamiya Dark Green as the base coat and then various earth
tones to continue the weathering.
The dirt in the wheels and also on the front and rear was reproduced
with fine grit as used in the bottom of bird cages, bonded using white
glue.
Final weathering was completed using the Mig Productions weathering
pigments.

Crew Figures

The 1/35 scale figures from Warriors are just terrific.
They assembled like a dream, as per usual. As with the companion Set
No. 1, the figures really do capture the impression of the subjects. Top
job Warriors!
I modified the arm of the tanker resting on the machine gun as it
needs to be lowered to suit this vehicle. It was not a difficult task,
however.
Painting was all done by hand using Vallejo acrylic paints.
I was happy with the overall result representing a generic African
tank somewhere in the field looking very dirty and weather beaten.
